StringLingo AI is a free, client-side tool for translating app localization files and text. This page explains exactly what happens to the content you paste or upload.

What StringLingo AI does with your text

All file parsing happens locally in your browser. Nothing you upload or paste is sent to, or stored on, any server we operate — there is no backend and no database behind this tool.

Third-party translation requests

To translate your text, your browser sends it to Google's public translation endpoint, routed through one of the following third-party CORS proxy services (the tool tries them in order until one responds):

These are independent third-party services, not affiliated with StringLingo AI. Text you translate passes through whichever proxy responds, and then to Google's translation service. We do not control, and cannot guarantee, how those third parties log or retain request data. If you are translating sensitive or confidential content, keep this in mind before using this tool.

What we don't do

Local storage

Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's localStorage so it persists between visits. That's the only data this site stores locally, and it never leaves your browser.

Changes to this policy

If how this tool processes data changes, this page will be updated. Since there's no account system, we can't notify you directly — check back here if you have concerns.
